Hello everyone,
First, I am an international student. hence, the fee and tuitions of this two university is almost same.
I have been accepted by the university of Waterloo (ELAS) program which will offer me a place in BComputer Science. I can choose to start my Elas at the early July, thus, I can begin my BCS class with the regular group. And I may get into the co-op in the second year if I get an acceptable GPA in first year.

I have been accepted by Imperial College London (B of electrical engineering ). I do not need to attend any ESL classes for this one.

I also think study Computer Science or Electrical engineering is not a problem for me. I just wonder which school I should pick. Anyway, I want to choose the best one I could go.

Do you want to get a degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering? It’s that simple.

The problem of me is both of them are ok. :)

Since there’s no specified characteristic you mention to be looking for, the only thing I can say is: Imperial College London is more prestigious.

Are you sure you don’t have any requirements or details you are looking for? Comp Sci. and EE are quite different, for example.

the reason of I can both study EE and Comp Sci is that I want to study Master or PHd of electrical engineering with Computer Sci in the furture, and this major accept student who study Comp Sci and EE in their undergraduate School. Hence, both of them are my favorite major, I can study both of them.

besides the fact that imperial college is alot more prestigious, consider where you want to be after graduation, in canada or abroad? Waterloo has more local pull while imperial college is more portable.

I wonder which one has the better undergrauate lessones

Since you have Masters and Phds in mind, I lean towards Imperial College.
The fact that UK programs are only 3 years and more focused will benefit you since you already have future plans traced. And, of course, it will be easier to get into good Masters/Phd programs with a diploma from a prestigious university, such as Imperial.

I do have the plan to study at a graduate school, and I want to study my graduate at America top Universities

I think Waterloo is more for practical purposes (for CompSci and finances), since it has the world’s largest co-op program. Students get great co-op opportunities from well-known companies (Microsoft, Google, etc.). So if you want to make money, go to UWaterloo (off to Wall Street if you’re good at math). If you want to get a PhD and go the theoretical path, even though UWaterloo is not bad, I think Imperial would be more suitable.

Right, both around 22,000 – but one’s in pounds sterling, the other Canadian dollars. That is, the Imperial College is about 50% more expensive than Waterloo. If you take living cost into consideration, the gap will be even wider.

But you said you wanted to choose the best one you “could go”. Then there’s no quetion which one you should go, though I suspect you ended up picking the “wrong” one – not that I have anything against Waterloo, mind you… :-)

The UK will definitely be more expensive.

Someone mentioned internships. Yep, Waterloo has a great program. So yeah, you’ll make more money there.

But, if your parents are the type who’ll give you money to buy everything you need/want, then go to Imperial College.

waterloo is significantly higher than 22k no? my friends from canada attending US public schools are paying like 50k.

Plus, UK is a year of schooling less and I believe master’s programs are only a year too?

I would go to Imperial.

But you’re comparing apples to oranges (CS vs EE). The programs are quite different.
