Does anyone know of any professor/university that actually consider high school students as worth something in Canada?

I'm currently doing research volunteering at MPML (Microcellular Plastics Manufacturing Lab) at University of Toronto but I would prefer something related to biomedical.

I contacted nearly every professor in the IBBME and none were interested.

I know that the program does not run during the summer, but you could consider applying to U of T's mentorship program in Sept/Oct? I know that bio-med projects are super competitive.

I would be interested in knowing how you went about getting a research position at MPML? Did you contact professors directly or through grad students?

This summer I'm actually going to U of T's DEEP engineering program for the bio-med option. There's a lab component during the design week, but it's obviously not a complete research experience. I wish I had a chance to do research though. :S

I did biomedical research at SickKids in Toronto this year and submitted my projects for sci fair and such...the most important thing is to contact as many profs as you can and it's all luck from there. If you have a proposal that matches their interest, they will likely to accept you. Gluck!

I was actually meeting with a friend that is a grad student there when I met the professor incidently and after a long conversation he offered me a position.
