HOWDY! I'm from Alberta (moved here recently from Ontario) and I'm applying to a handful of American schools (HYPS, Columbia, Cornell, etc.). My Canadian choices are probably going to be UCalgary, UBC, Toronto, and McGill.

Has anyone else suffered from the stigma of applying to schools down south (you're selling out/why would you pay that much money comments)? I have had my fair share! But I'm determined. I'm thinking of applying Yale SCEA. It's gonna be crazy though. Ack.

Hey there, I'm in the same boat as you :] We're thinking of the same schools too haha... Are you a little freaked out about the whole application process? Because I sure am. I'm from BC BTW.

Aww well if your school deflates grades, your class rank should show that since it's relative. HAHAHAH guidance counselors are such a joke when it comes to US schools.

Hahaha...I like how you make it sound like there are only two cities in Alberta! I'm presuming you're from Alberta too? Are you applying to colleges this year?

I don't think my tips would help too much, cuz even though I've been studying in Canada, I was considered as South Korean when I applied (I'm just an international student in Canada...south korean citizenship).

I'm Canadian resident applying this year for 08. I'm getting kinda nervous.. this college admission process is so much more stressful than applying to Cdn schools .
