Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone goes to Barnard/was accepted to Barnard and is Canadian? If so:

What was your average? (It’s confusing because we don’t have GPA in Canada and 80-100 is an A…so what was your percentage is what I’m asking (ie: 88, 90, 93))

Hey @ColumbiaGirl101! I’m from Canada and I was accepted to Barnard with an average of 93 in Grade 12.

Do you mind me asking your averages in other years?

@columbiagirl101 Yep! I had a 87 in grade 9 (lol), a 90 in grade 10, and a 91 in grade 11 :). Hope this helps!

Oh dang nice upward trend lol thanks so much! And can I ask what you got on SAT/ACT?

And does help thank u :)

@columbiagirl101 Ahhhh don’t try to follow my SATs; I scored pretty poorly. I had a 2000 superscore!

haha and how many times did you take it?

I took it once junior and got 1930, and then again in match and got 2110(730CR, 690math/writing) but te curve was so terrible I’m debating taking it again… I just don’t know how it looks to take 3 SAT tests :p

@columbiagirl101 I took mine three times. I think at this point, if you think you can score higher, then go ahead and write the test again! But if you feel comfortable with your score, I think it’s good to just stay with it. Now should be the time to focus on your extracurriculars, essays, etc.

@Columbiagirl101 I’m an Early Decision Barnard admit for this year, and also a recruited athlete. The coach told me back in January (of 2013) that admissions doesn’t care about how many times you take the SAT, it is better to take it again and get the higher score.
