Hey I'm a current senior in the us, but the previous 3 years of highschool I got in Ontario. My 77 average on my previous courses is a c here and in the 2 point something gpa range. Whilst back in Ontario it would be a b+.

I'm going to graduate from an American highschool and plan to apply for American universities, how will my grades be viewed? Will admissions know about the canadian grade deviation or am I sol?

They will know. There are Canadian students applying each year to U.S. schools.

My daughter is in the exact opposite situation. Grade 9 in the US and grades 10-12 in Canada. We submitted a copy of her Canadian school’s grading scale with her US applications, but when I spoke to admissions, they said that they knew the differences in grading scale and would score her GPA appropriately.

If there is a “special instructions or conditions” section on an application, you should mention your international experience so that they can have both domestic and international readers go over your application.
