Canadian Experience Class

Hey there guys,

I'm an international student here frustrated with the lack of employment opportunities in the USA (for students on a visa) and thinking about transferring up north.

Just asking a question for anybody who's been through or knows anything about this process.
How difficult is it, and how long does it take? And in what ways is it different from being a provincial nominee?

I'm thinking specifically about transferring to UBC.

Thanks,

If you obtain an undergrad degree from a recognised Canadian university, you can apply for and automatically receive a work permit for 3 years (if you receive a 4 year degree). At the same time you can work on applying for permanent residency which it appears is likely to be granted based on Canadian experience (judging from the info on the Canadian immigration site).
