CAnadian GPA???

ok... so I'm trying to figure out what my GPA would be based on a Canadian percentage system. I've heard that they calculate it as equivalent to a US student in the IB program.... so like a 85% would be a 3.7 and a 90% a 4.0 or something..... is that true?? or do they do the traditional 93% = 3.7, 96% = 3.9 or whatev?

thanks =)

My school has its own system... I'm not sure what it is, but I have about 98% and my counselor put 4.0. So I'd ask your counselor about it. The schools would see your percentage in your transcript anyways, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

you're from Vancouver right?? So am I!!! what school do you go to??

Woah, the 4.0 scale actually exists in Canada!? My school only uses 100% :p

Hmm i think it depends on your school so you should ask your counselor about it.

elegant0dancer: well I'm from the Metro Vancouver area. Langley actually. You?

Guildford! haha... I'd prefer not to say Surrey.....

according to my counsellor (public school, toronto, ontario)

leave the 4.0, use the 100% system....they know how to figure it out

she did it for other students over the years and it all worked out
