Is ivy's FA need blind for all CA students? is it really true that they don't take FA into account of Admission???

That's what they say and we know several Canadian kids on FA at Princeton & Brown. They are all remarkable kids with big $ need.

I am worried too......especially i heard that my ED school Cornell is quite stingy on giving aid to intls....

Can Americans get financial aid at Canadian universities such as McGill, Memorial, or Dalhousie?

I do not believe American's can get aid. My D applied to one school and received merit $ at admissions, but that was not FA- it was merit and only available because she is graduating from a Canadian high school.

I have "heard"" that many American schools treat Canadians like Americans for FA. I know Canadian kids whose families reported receiving aid at Colgate, Princeton, Yale, MIT, Brown, etc.

Colgate, is that a dental college? snickers

I'm considering Canada as a low cost alternative to the usual American colleges. I first and foremost want to go to a military academy (doesn't look like that's gonna happen) or Furman, but if that doesn't work out I think Memorial or Dalhousie would be very good it's just that if I can't get the aid I still won't be able to afford them even though they're cheaper than American equivalents.

I just heard that the amount that u ask for is different from that they give
out if I am admitted through early decision. For instance, I ask for a 20000
FA, what amount of package will they give to me at the end>????
