Canadian Universities: Engineering in Quebec

<p>I am currently a student at the University of Tennessee, and I am looking to transfer to Laval University or McGill University for Chemical Engineering. I really want to learn Quebecois French, and I want to submerge myself in another culture. Would these be good choices for me. Am I able to study at Laval with no French background?</p>

<p>What is your current GPA? If your GPA is sub-3.3 but you’re still in good academic standing, Laval and Polytechnique are doable while McGill will be a reach.</p>

<p>I just finished my first semester with a 3.3, but I plan to have a 3.7 cumulative after this semester. The mid-term reports are going to be really important.</p>

<p>In fact, Polytechnique and Laval will both cost about $10k less yearly than McGill will…</p>
