Hello everyone! how are you all doing, I hope great

I recently found this forum and saw the amount of information you guys know I wanted to ask a couple of questions regarding Canadian universities. I hope anyone with some knowdledge of the scene could help me as I would appreciate it alot!

I'm an international student from venezuela with somewhat good gpa ( grading system totally different) but NOT top notch or TOP class gpa. maybe like 87% overall grade average.

-What canadians universities are good in the BC area that dont require Ec's? I would love to get into UBC but without any EC's it seems quite a dream.

-What about some other good canadian universities OUTSIDE the area of BC that dont require Ec's?

-Also I need some backup universities in BC area that have a high chance of admission but are still somewhat respectable universities.

-What about some backup universities outside BC area?

Thank you a lot if you took time to respond to my very boring questions!

Please indicate your preferred major, since most Canadian universities are notorious for asking applicants to declare a major at the time of application.

As a rule of thumb, the gap between the top Canadian schools and the bottom ones is not nearly as great as would be the case in the US.

You would have a hard time getting into UBC, if u want to major in business, but who knows. And even though UBC looks at ECs they are not as important as ur grades, if u have mediocre ecs they will be sufficient. just show ur passion for them.
SFU certainly has a nice business school (Beedie school of business), so if u are in a situation where u have to choose between schools other than ubc go to sfu (that’s within BC of course).
UVic is also a beautiful school.

Outside of British Columbia these are universities you might want to look at
-UAlberta
-McMaster
-UWaterloo
-UToronto
-McGill
-Queens
etc

I’ve been to many schools in BC including those mentioned above, so feel free to ask me if u have any questions regarding those unis.

I’d recommend UofT - Rotman school of management (Runs dual program with regular university for undergrads), as it is known for its international reach and applicants. Visit their website for more information (Google), and you’ll probably have to take a B. Commerce degree if you would like to aim for an MBA later in your career. This information comes from an interested student living a few minutes away from UofT :)

P.S: You need very little to no EC’s for undergrad, but for B school you need a good amount to improve your chances (Especially being international), so don’t worry for now.
