Does anyone here know of any schools (relatively - extremely prestigious) that consider Canadians like domestic students in matters such as financial aid and admission? I believe Cornell considers Mexicans, Canadians, and Americans all equal in admission and finanacial aid, but do you know of any other schools?
For all those canadians out there: where are you applying?

Cornell is your best bet

hello what are your stats

all of the ivies are financially "need blind" to Canadians as well as Americans. 1 or 2 might have the have the same for Mexicans, but i don't think it's any more than that....
for Canadian applicants, they do consider the differences between the American and Canadian school systems (though they aren't that significant). there are no quotas for Canadians or any other nation. they simply pick who they want, wherever they're from. they do want to have a mix of foreign kids, but i think in that respect they lump us in more with the Americans than with the other internationals.

As far as I know, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Cornell, Columbia, MIT, Amherst (college) and Williams (college) are all need-blind to Canadian applicants. Other than the Core and NYC, that's one of the reasons I applied ED to Columbia.

Hope that helps.
All the best!

im canadian going to HS in US.. and because of this fin aid crap.. im applying mainly to texas schools and canada

I'm going to need to take out one huge loan for $40,000 US. Oh well.

ya, most selective universities aren't too fond of internationals, much less internationals applying for financial aid. it sucks
