Canadians applying for F1

Quick question: I plan on getting my F1 status at the border, so no consulate interview or anything. I dont need the DS-156,157, and 158, right? Also, what documents do I need? I'm planning to bring my passport, transcripts, SAT scores, college acceptance letter, I-20, financial documents and SEVIS receipt. Do I need a photograph or anything?

Thanks.

2 passport photographs, they're a certain size, make sure you get the size right

I need passport photographs even if technically, I'm not applying for a visa??

Do I also need DS-156, 157, 158? I'm only switching to F1 status at the border.

I don't think we need to bring photos right? I'm getting my F-1 at the port of entry too and I asked them about it. They didn't mention anything about photos though. Also, there is one other form that we will fill out at the port of entry. I forget the number.

I got my F-1 last week. It was unbelieveably easy. Simply go to the border. They asked me for my I-20 and my passport. THAT WAS IT. Didn't have to fill out any forms either. I showed my passport, handed over I-20, signed something on the I-20, the lady took it to her computer to process, and in 5 minutes, I had a new I-94 with F-1 status.
