I did really poorly on two AP exams (Art History and chemistry) and I was wondering if I could cancel them after I received the scores so no colleges can see them.

However, when filling out the AP forms I thought we had to list at least one college to send the scores to (realized after that I didn't have to put anything down) and now my really poor scores are going to be sent to the college I indicated. Can I prevent them from seeing the scores?

You can’t prevent the colleges you put on your sheet from seeing them. Those colleges have already received your scores. AP sends scores to colleges first, then teachers, then students.

You can permanently delete them at any time, though. There’s info on how to do that in the AP Student Pack, or online I am sure.

It doesn’t really matter. They can’t rescind your admission or anything…

AP’s are for Credit. And if you didn’t pass Art history or Chem when you have to take those classes you’ll be placed appropriately.

ex: UW Madison only places AP scores on their website for students that were greater than 3. The others are disregarded.

You gotta realize that colleges don’t look at your APs when deciding if they’re going to accept you…
