Cancel?

Hi I was wondering if I should cancel today's SAT test (January.) On my last SATs (December) i got 780 for math and today I totally scrubbed the math...idk why (ugh) like 3-5 wrong. My writing and reading scores may go up a tiny bit but idk. Will colleges think that my first math score was just luck? Should I cancel my today's score? (FYI I don't plan on ever exercising score choice.) Thanks!

Do the schools you’re looking at super-score? If they do, I wouldn’t worry about it.

No, you should not cancel. Many schools will take the best of the individual section scores. For example, if you got a 780 on the last SAT you took and this time you didn’t do as well, they would count the 780. Thus, if you did the better on the CR and Writing sections this time , those improvements will improve your overall score because they will count the 780 you got in math. Also, the College Board now has score choice so if it doesn’t work out this time, you can simply choose to not send those scores.

Yeah - don’t cancel!

Okay thank you so much! … just praying at this point that the curve will be generous so my score doesn’t drop too much haha :D
