Hey all,

Im a senior, and took the SAT just last Saturday. It was my third attempt, and I feel I did subpar. I have my SATIIs in December, and was wondering if I should cancel my scores for this SAT, and take it again in January.

So my questions:

Does a cancel SAT show on your score report?
Should I just not cancel and take it again in January (That means 4 times, not good)?
If I take it again in January will most schools accept it (Primarly ivies)?

Has anyone canceled scores after leaving the building? How would I go about doing that?

Thanks in advance.

You have to fax or call them by Tuesday (maybe Wednesday). I don't think you should cancel though. It's a waste of money and you may have done well on it. You never know. I would say unless you've CONFIRMED (by checking answers on this board) that you will get a disappointing score, just see what you get. There's a big sentiment on this board that taking the SAT more than three times is the kiss of death, yet I've heard of many people who took it four times and still got into good colleges (Ivies). I mean, everyone talks about how the SAT is only one part of your application, yadda yadda yadda, and then they say "OH MY GOD - YOU TOOK IT MORE THAN THREE TIMES? YOU'RE NEVER GETTING IN!!!" Doesn't make sense to me...

Anyways, I got off track. The CB website probably has something about canceling your scores but remember that there's always that chance that you did well!

(I thought I did horribly on my SAT II writing and us history - like in the low to mid 600s - but it turned out that I scored very well on them. Just goes to show you that your gut feeling can be way off)

Any other ideas? I KNOW I didnt do too well...You think I should just take it a fourth time in January? Or would canceling be the best option? Is the deadline tomorrow or Wednesday?

BUMP! Urgent. I think I might cancel...
