Cancelling AP score

What are the pros and cons of cancelling an AP score? (I think I got a 1 or 2 on my AP World History exam...)

If I cancel the score and retake the exam next year, will that still look bad for college admissions?

How much do AP exam scores matter to UCs and tier 1 college admissions? (I'm not talking about skipping introductory courses)

You don’t even have to submit your AP scores. You can just self-report the ones you choose on the Common App. I also think it’s a bit too late to cancel :(

No, you have until June 15 to fill out and mail/fax this form along with a written, signed request: http://professionals.collegeboard.com/profdownload/ap-score-cancellation-form.pdf

Oh wow I didn’t know that! I still don’t think it’s worth cancelling unless you’re POSITIVE you didn’t pass. You’d be surprised at the curves on some of them.

Can someone answer my other two questions please

Ok, I just looked at the composite score ranges and now I think I got a 2 or POSSIBLY a 3.

My decision to cancel the score depends on HOW MUCH a 2 would affect admissions into top universities. (If it matters a good amount then I will probably retake it, if not then I’ll probably just leave it be.)

So let’s say it matters a good amount and I decide to retake it next year.
Which of these two decisions would look better for admissions? Cancel the score then retake, OR keep the score (let’s say I DEFINITELY got a 2…or even a 3) then retake.

I only have 1 more day left to make the decision, so I would really like to know what I should do given these choices.
