hello CC readers. it's currently 9:37 here on the west coast and i am less than 48 hours away from taking an AP test that i will live to regret (i know this for a fact. physics and i havent gotten along since the beginning of the school year). in recognition of my ultimate doom, i am thinking about dropping this test score. however, if anyone here on this forum knows whether i can get a refund at this stage (which is less than 48 hours away from the actual test) in time, please, please reply. i am very desperate; a prompt response will be very much appreciated!

No, you can't.

March 27th, I think, was the last date. I tried to ask for one also, on friday.

:Sigh: Cross your fingers and pray for that 3, or watch your your 80 dollars go down the drain as you don't take it.

What happens if you don't show up? Or..you can take it and then cancel the score.

yeah, my friend from another city told me today that there should be a form in my counsellor's office that cancels an ap test, but i'm not sure if my high school offers that (i've never heard of anyone at my school do it). do any of your schools offer that choice?? and what happens if you just dont show up on the test day?

You can do the following:

Refund= exactly what it sounds like (before Apr 27th, and you don't get all of it back)

Not take it= no score, you never took it (80 bucks gone)

Cancel score=wiped off your AP record (fee? don't remember)

With-hold score=You get the score, but your college doesn't, and you can choose to send if off if you like (juniors that are expecting a 2 should do this)

Btw, Sarorah, how do you be online and not have your icon be yellow? Woababa o_o.

Invisibility ;) You can change it in the profile options.

There is no fee to cancel your score..I mean, you're saving them the trouble of grading it..so why would they ask you to pay them?

For withholding scores, can you do that anytime? Because I didn't indicate to any colleges on the form to see the score, but I have a feeling it's going to be bad..so in the future, when I want to send the AP transcript to colleges, I can still ask them to take it off, right?

actually you can not take the test and get a refund on it, it just costs 13 dollars off your 82...... too brainbanged to do any MATH jesus christ i gotta stop cramming

If you do find some way to cancel your score, you don't get that weighted grade on your GPA and it just looks like a regular ol' class. At least that's how it works at my school.
