So I took two subject tests today, for chem and lit. The other two I've taken previously were bio and math 2, which I did fairly well on. However, I didn't really get much of a chance to prepare for the tests today.

For chem, I took chem in school last year, and basically tried to cram/review everything in this week before the subject test. Stupid, I know. For Lit, I honestly don't think I did very well, which brings me to my question...

I will probably sign up to retake the exams in the fall, but I'm wondering if we'll get the scores back in time for early decision/action programs for college. Also, I'm not sure if I should cancel this score or not. I know there is score choice, meaning we choose the scores we want to send to colleges. However, I've also heard that some of the top colleges request to see ALL the test scores.
If I got say 500s on these two exams, but then did drastically better in the fall (700s), would colleges still look at the 500s? Even if they "consider" the highest scores, could the 500s be used against my application?

Thank you!
