Cancelling Scores vs Getting a 1

What are the benefits of cancelling your score when you know you bombed a test (AP Physics B)
What are the benefits of taking the low score 1 or 2 (mainly 1 )?

Will it make/break my college acceptances

Thanks

well cant you just hide the score so it doesnt get sent to some colleges? but if you are positive that you got a 1/2 i would cancel it. but thats just me.

I thought that colleges only receive scores that you send.

If you wrote something, you’re not getting a 1; If you have an A in the class i think u should cancel if u are certain that u got a 1, cuz that would show some intense grade inflation

Don’t cancel; just refrain from sending the 1 to any colleges if it comes to that.

Bro I posted this same exact post yesterday!! With the same title! lolol

I say just keep the scores. It’ll hurt your pride but you never know, and you can just not send the scores you want to hide.

So why would one hide? Does a score of 1 really hurt your admissions?

^ Sending nothing is better than sending a 1.

So sending a 2 is ok?

I put my college so college board would send my scores to them. Won’t they get the scores before me? So even if you cancel it, it would be too late

benefits: none (although there are colleges that accept 2’s, these are usually the lowest-tier)

I doubt you got a 1 though. It’s nearly impossible except on AP French language if you make some educated guesses, leave ones you don’t know blank, BS the FRQ, and actually try, you will get a 2 or maybe even 3.

I’m a junior btw, if it matters.

I have a question: on collegeboard’s site it says:
“Score Cancellation
Score cancellation deletes an AP Exam score permanently from your records. Scores may be canceled at any time. However, for scores not to appear on the current year’s score report, AP services must receive a signed, written request by mail or fax by June 15. Please complete the Score Cancellation Form (.pdf/113KB) and return it to the address or fax number indicated. While there is no fee for this service, your exam fee is not refunded. The score report that you and your school receive will indicate that the score has been canceled.”
Does that mean your teacher and your score report will say that you cancelled the score? I thought it was supposed to not list the score as if one did not sign up for it.
