I've taken the SAT I 3 times, all in my junior year, and I wasn't really serious about the test. Well, now I am, and i'm not happy with my score at all. I'm going to take it a 4th time this saturday, and from what i understand, this looks pretty bad on college apps... So, i think I'll go ahead and take it, and if i feel that my score wont improve signficantly, i'll just cancel it.

Does this work? I guess my real question is: if you cancel a test, do colleges still see that you took the test on that date?

un, score choice? hello :)

Um, Score Choice no longer exists, hello?

No, they don't see it if you cancel it.

Unless I'm missing something you cannot cancel scores retroactively.....they can only be cancelled same day as the test, or in writing by the Wednesday immediately after the test. That is why you should never take any test unless well prepared.

That's exactly what he was already planning on doing, bluebayou. Read the original post...

Just don't show up if you don't want to take it. Thats what I did in October, and it never showed up on my later score sheets. It isn't a big deal. If you do want to take it, go for it, I'm sure your score will go up.

He wants to take it and see how it feels. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it. If it feels right, he'll get the score. If it doesn't, he'll cancel and it'll never show up that he even took it or registered for it. Geez people...

when did score choice for the SAT I end? if you took it last school year, those tests still have score choice, right? not that it matters for me, i was just wondering
