From people I have heard from and talked to, it appears relatively easy to transfer from MCS to CIT as long as you are not trying to get into the Computer Engineering program which I guess is always full and few transfer out.

Mum-did we miss u at Lehigh today? Sorry but there were many of is there lol! We were with the MechE tours. Let us know what u find out about CMU/CIT. We r goi g next sun/mon

Those who attended Candidates’ Day, what did you think? How did it compare to other admitted students’ days in your opinion?

ELY,
It was a beautiful day which totally “WOWED” my son! He wished that we could have had this type of tour when we did the Info. Session/Campus Tour! Everyone was so helpful in answering any questions he had - faculty and students alike! He felt more at ease in knowing the comprehensive and rigorous Engineering program is flexible so he can almost customize his curriculum with knowledgeable and enthusiastic advisors! The faculty and administrators were friendly and very approachable. There’s lots of information he still needs to digest but he welcomed the opportunity to revisit Lehigh in order to make an informed decision about becoming a part of the Lehigh “family!” Even this parent felt the positive energy on campus today! :)

ELY,

I would also agree with the above, this session was very good, and when I got my son talking about it, he was really impressed with the fact that he would have some flexibility in “building a program” for himself within the Bioengineering dept. On this trip he also had more time to take in the campus atmosphere (the students shooting the UTube video for Lehigh was an added attraction that greatly showed the excitement of the student population).

I was very impressed (as was my son) with the Bioengineering presentation, there was just so much more info than you can get out of a catalog and the web site. I had the chance to talk to one of the professors on the walk from the Packard bldg to the Bio presentation as well. It was really helpful having so many faculty members and students available and approachable during this session.

If I were a betting man… I would say unless CMU really blows him away over today and tomorrows visit, I believe he will be heading to Lehigh. I felt from our first visit there last summer, that the campus and school size would be en excellent fit for him. We are in PIT now, and my feeling (keeping to myself of course) is that this environment may be a bit more “city” than he is looking for. We shall see.

Great job on the candidates day Lehigh.

Candidates day at Lehigh was great I enjoyed the atmosphere and the info sessions. Its down to the wire deciding between Lehigh or Lafayette so good luck to everyone

**“deciding between Lehigh or Lafayette” **

AHAHAHHA Good joke!

Lehigh won the football game last year. That should make your decision easier…lol
