Wow, simply wow. I had an awesome time with everyone at Candidates' Weekend. To especially all of my fellow candidates, who would ever think there is such an awesome group of people!? Before CW, I thought Olin was for me, now I don't see how I could be any place else. I didn't realize the incredibleness (is that a word?), until the tingly feeling wore off after the group activity/interview, which!, btw, was amazing. I would love to talk with anyone, my AIM sn is wolps88.

Hmmm, I must somehow do my homework for tomorrow.

Yay, I'm glad you had fun. I just started an account here. I loved xforums, and when it got erased, I was upset. My AIM is attached also so if anyone would like to talk, it would be great. (Though I'm not online much anymore.) you could also facebook me!!!

I also had a great time at Olin. I pretty much went in not knowing what to expect and not worrying about it, and it was very fun and interesting. It definately moved Olin into my #1 school slot, so hopefully everything will work out.

P.S. I'm Stan AKA kid with "ninjas are cool sign" in the slideshow.

Stan aka kid who gave me The Fiery Furnaces CD? And Stefan?

I have to agree entirely, though. I was concerned about the size of Olin and its proximity to my house, but after CW 1, I think it has become my first choice. I loved every single person I met there, and I had an absolutely amazing time.

-Jessi, aka the girl with the blue-ish hair and the cutie pi pin in the slideshow

here's a short summary of CW 1 for me......

-unicyclists attempting to joust in the snow
-a bicycle that was described as a "death-machine"
-Twister(tm) in a painfully schtanky elevator
-"Krud" or "Crud" game on pool table for hours on end
-wheeled-chair rase course
-pyramid of feet
-Demolition Man (which nobody seemed to be watching)
-trying to sleep while people jump on your bed
-watching people light themselves on fire
-listening to a skit by a cross-dressing Rhodes scholar and two other professors
-realizing that someone broke the ping-pong table while you were away
-Super Smash Bros theme song played by the London Symphony
-plans for a so-called, so-imagined "Go-Hot tub"
-being a zombie for hours on end due to sleep deprivation
-performing a fifteen minute presentation in 30 seconds
-eating ice cream after every meal
-watching out "design project" hold 2 bags of sand WITH the heavy-handed assistance of the "judges"
-realizing how slippery granite is when covered with 2 inches of snow
-admiring a Pi=3.1415962... and e=2.71... written out to about the 15th significant figure in the snow
-trying to memorize 15 people's name at once
-watching someone do a backflip off someone else's shoulders....
...etc.

oh yeah, and then we talked about Olin's academics. :P

I didn't get any sort of e-mail. My screen name is the same as this user name is anyone wants to talk (I'm Valarie from Ohio, used my senior picture for the slideshow, wore a realMYST nametag). My e-mail is firstname.lastname@gmail.com/email, if anybody is bored and wants to e-mail while I'm gone for this long weekend. I expect the contact list is empty because many of us didn't meet Mike (I actually met him, but he wouldn't take down my info at the time, and I never saw him again)...

For future reference, Ohioans--there have been a few Ohio Oliners get-togethers in past summers. They've organized a weekend at Cedar Point. Even a few non-Ohioans have come!
