I have a gmail account and recently I can't access it at school. It's not getting blocked by the school's internet policing program. The "this page cannot be displayed" screen comes up. Anyone know why?

it's blocked by our school's filter system too, and comes up w/ a "this page cannot be displayed screen". not sure why the regular filter sign doesn't come up. try https instead of http. usually the filters don't block those right away.

Hmm, doesn't work. Anyone else have an idea?

nope, is your school blocking all email addresses, or just gmail?

Meh. I get the gmail site up just fine.

at school it's fine for you?

I'm sitting at home. At school they block it with websense, as my school administrators are Nazis.

It's only gmail so far. We can get hotmail, yahoo, lycos, etc.

ours doesn't block our email. they say we can't use it for "personal" reasons

uhm, its weird at my school. when i use a laptop via the wireless connection, i can't sign on to gmail, but if i use like a computer in the career center or my teacher's desktop, i can access gmail just fine.. weird...
