I sent in my enrollment check to GW on Monday (May 1st) and i have received no notification from them nor can I access my GWid. Should I be concerned? Or does it normally take this long?

Takes a while. I just got mine 3 days ago and I sent my deposit on around April 27th.

don't worry about it. i was so freaked out i sent two checks before may 1st but just a few days ago they processed my first check.

How did they contact you when they processed your check? I'm worried I'm going to get crappy housing if it doesn't go through soon!

It just worked!! yay... no more worries

good! oh, krocket, housing requests are not processed in order of application completion but by round of admission (EDI, EDII, RD). so, it does not matter when you complete the application (just your lottery number within your round).

also, there is no crappy housing at GW! well, unless, you're on the vern... ;-)

Vern housing is pretty sweet and the commute is a great way to meet people. If you do live on the Vern or take class there, you'll start seeing the same people on the same shuttle ride. Shuttle rides are a great way to sneak in a quick nap.

on the website they said that they look at the time stamp for when you first send in the housing application too so they like organize it that way through the ed1 ed2 reg groups

nope, the housing definitely is not first come first serve. i was waitlisted, and i asked at my interview and the admissions guy said that come june, they take all of the preferences based on the LLC you requested and decide it that way. it's the same reason why there is no disadvantage for people who are accepted off the waitlist.

Even in regular housing you are assigned a random number and that is where you get to choose housing.
