I was ranked one in my class for the past three years. The only kid who is really close is the no. 2. (fraction of a point) Our school maxes out at 7 APs for all intents and purposes. I took 4 Junior and three senior and he did the reverse. We both have 4.0s… BUT due to the way the rank is calculuated (QPA system) he is going to beat me on the placement of an honors class. Since they only take six credits a year for QPA and I took one of my honors classes (we have the same amount of those too) my junior year where it fell out of the six credits. Now he is going to overtake me by a fraction of a point. Gah, freaking technicalities. Anyways, the QPA and rank all my colleges saw were after junior (it is not recalculated till end of senior year) and they were both highest possible (my new QPA would be too, if not for that stupid loophole). Should I have my GC make mention of this circus when she sends in my final grades (accepted to MIT)?
BTW, this is anticipating I get all A’s, which, who knows if it will happen.

You mean you might be ranked #2? Oh my G-d. You should contact MIT immediately. I'm dead serious. They don't need any more students with that attitude on campus.

Lol, I was just wondering if it is a concern when I think my GC marked highest poss. GPA (which it was at the time it was tabulated) and then I end up two. Plus, I'm mad, I wanted to give the speech, lol.

I would suggest staying mum on the issue. I very much doubt that they care. If you point out the fact, the school may feel obliged to run your case through the bureaucracy. Thatp could be bad.
