thanks…anyone else?

big dreamer, I really don’t understand how you came up with those arbitrary chances for the OP…

Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, and MIT are all definitely reaches, though you still have a relatively good shot (very good test scores and class rank and your ECs/awards show your interests in science… though you don’t seem to have much depth).

I’d say you’re in at GTech, NYU, and Emory, and probably UNC (though you are out of state which is much more difficult).

UPenn and Duke are reaches as well (not so much as the top 4), though I think you have good chances at these.

You seem like the stereotypical Indian applicant… good test scores/grades, science/math-focused extracurriculars. You’re gonna need some good essays and recs.

I simply went with hunches because I am only a sophomore in high school and I was in a good mood, so there you go The Government. I liked the OP’s stats and I did say that her essays needed to be excellent as well as her recs. Sorry to sound blunt, but I was only trying to help the OP and the admissions to these schools are unpredictable, so that’s where I came up with my results.

Sorry to go on a tangent, but I have a short story to tell. This strong applicant at my school this year was accepted to Yale, Duke, Wake, UNC, Caltech, etc.; rejected at Harvard and MIT. They were accepted to top schools, but also rejected at others.
Another student was accpeted to Harvard and Georgetown, but rejected from Washington U in St. Louis, Brown, and Dartmouth. This proves my point how unpredictable admissions are, thusly that’s how I obtained my results for the OP.

Best of luck to you! :)

lol the kid who asked me to post this profile got into schools people are saying he won’t get into. Lulz.
