Yeah I don't know I'm really disconcerted right now. Although it does seem like a large percentage of the CC family can't log on. Does that provide some hope?

I don't think this was intentional, so as nervous as we all are, we shouldn't make it something it's not.

That admitted student website doesn't work for me either. But who knows what it means. They might not even have finished updating the site yet. Or it is just some fluke. Only time will tell!

i was able to check mine [accepted], but i applied early, so it could be different because of that...i think it's a bit careless of them to have that link, but not announce it as a reliable method of finding out. it causes a lot of uncertainty and anguish for applicants. good luck everyone!

when i log on to that site with my tracking password, it lets me log on, but all it says is "welcome julie"... nothing about congratulations. it says that barnard hopes to see me and my parents at the following events.

???? anyone find the same thing?

Well, I'm not trying to make any of you feel bad/worse, but I have received a rejection letter and after trying to log in, I wasn't able to.

I'm pretty sure they're done with decisions/updating, since they already mailed so many of them out. I do hope, however, that it was just a glitch on Barnard's part (to those of you who weren't able to log in).

Good luck!!

When you tried to log in did you just get "ID not recognized?"

i think this is actually worse than the cornell glitch...

To be precise, it says:
[QUOTE=Barnard] ID not recognized! Please try again.

im concerned not becuz i can NOT log in
but becuz others CAN. boo. boo. boo!!

to surreal samurai,
the page starts out "Welcome, Samantha. We hope to see you at one (or more) of our spring events." at the top, but underneath that there is a paragraph that starts out with "Congratulations again on your admission to Barnard College!" maybe you missed it?

to samantha,
mine doesnt have a paragraph like that... but i can check in... so... any ideas?

I get the ID not recognized also. It doesn't even recognize the ID from the tracking application link from the original e-mail anymore. How disappointing!

I have the same Welcome line and I can RSVP for open houses, but I don't have anything that explicitly states I was admitted.
Does someone want to call the admissions office tomorrow and find out what, if anything, it means? (If no one else wants to, I'll do it. I have to call anyway if I do get in to ask another question.)

surreal, it may be different because i was an ED applicant...i would say it's a good sign if you can log in, but it seems like a lot of people are having ID errors with the site, so i'm not really sure what's going on.

ahhhh! my ID works!!!

click the "admitted students" banner at the top....it brings you to this "information for the class of 2010" page

oh i hope this is true!

i think if the ID works it means you're admitted. if anyone has some piece of information that negates this, please post so i can stop being so happy haha

ohmywow!!!

for those of you who can log in...can you post your stats? just out of curiosity

If this is true, which at this point I'm really starting to believe it is, it seems rather thoughtless of them. It almost makes me happy I can't log in.

Any thoughts?
