UCSD is the only school I didn't create my portal account early on, and I just enetered my inforation to receive an "Invalid - CPID format" red message at the top of the screen. Does anyone know what this means? I entered my UC application number, the same one on Pathways.

same thing…but the thing is that i tried making my account a couple weeks ago and it gave me the same message but i just assumed it would eventually fix itself, but now i tried making the account today and it still won’t work. i tried calling them too but their admissions office is closed.

I even tried to go where you change the password. I entered my ID and date of birth. Just states it as “invalid”

What should aclue717 and I do?

Changing your password requires an ID you get after registration, not the ID you already have. That’s why it didn’t work. As none of us have registered, registration is the only solution… but I have the same problem as both of you and am unable to register.

Go to myapplication.ucsd.edu Next to where it asks you for your username/PID there’s a “First time user?” Button. Click it. Register. Get your PID (What you need to log in and check your admissions). Check your status.

The problem is in the “first time user” page. There’s some error with the ID. DOB, email, and city present no problem. The format of the ID is apparently incorrect. It’s just supposed to be ####### right? No dashes or anything. Right? But the site says the ID format is incorrect.

Yeah, it’s your 7 digit UC App number. Do you perhaps have a space copied?

I entered my 7 digit UC App number w.o spaces.

It worked! I didn’t change anything. Try it now, maybe it’s fixed. Also, make sure that you enter your city of BIRTH. Not city of residency. That wasn’t the problem in my case, but just thought I should point it out because at first I didn’t realized.

It just worked for me too! Rejected, but it works. Just enter all data as ou did before,
