cant connect to battle.net or HoN on campus

<p>hey guys i just moved into B5 delta terrace today, internet is working fine but i cant connect to warcraft 3 battle.net or heroes of newerth online. Is the school networking restricting it or something? Im currently connected to UCLA WEB RES network. </p>

<p>I can’t access battle.net either. Then again, I’ve never accessed it before this (new computer) so I don’t know if its just my computer. </p>

<p>I can connect as well. I used UCLA_Res as the wireless network.
And make sure you have your firewall allowing wc3.</p>

<p>do NOT use the wireless for games lol. you better be jacked in. you can use your own router, but dont use ucla’s wireless.</p>

Use UCLA<em>RES, not UCLA</em>WEB<em>RES. WEB</em>RES only provides limited access.</p>

<p>If you’re on a router, be sure to forward ports as well… more for hosting than anything.</p>

<p>Use the wired internet connection. Wireless fails for online gaming, especially since you’re playing Battle.net where you can’t reconnect. HoN pwns though.</p>

<p>I can play on Bnet fine but I still use the ethernet instead of the wireless cuz the wireless is known to get ‘dropped’ and then come again but by that time you lag out</p>
