I want to concentrate in either biochemistry or chemistry. However, I was hoping to study portuguese or hispanic as well. And the only way for me to do that would be to do the combined A.B. Sc.B. degree five year. Or do the A.B. in chemistry and double concentrate. But I want to go to pharmacy school after I graduate, and thus why I think the Sc.B. degree is more tailored for my needs. sigh. Can I take classes in portuguese or spanish(hispanic studies) even if I can’t concentrate by doing the Sc.B degree in biochemistry or chemistry?

Of course you can take courses in other areas, even if you do the ScB. I think biochem has like 20 requirements. That leaves 12 classes outside of your concentration that you can use for anything you want. If you really wanted to, that'd be enough for a concentration (probably) in hispanic studies.

I can't believe you actually comprehended what I typed. I don't even half understand what I typed. Thanks a lot. Okay my life can now continue in its general direction :p

yeah, having the second degree doesnt really mean much in life, pharmacy schools will see you took a bunch of classes outside of biochem/chem, and that will be enough

i wana go to dental school, do i neeed a bs or ba?

If you need pre-med for dental school, then just worry about filling those requirements and then your concentration will kind of fill itself from those.

k, that's wat i thought. yea, dental is the same as pre-med..classes wise

Also, it needs to be said that what you indicate on your application as your choice of degree program has NO BEARING WHATSOEVER on what you actually may do.
