I applied for business administration and got admitted to both colleges. I did quite a bit of research but still can’t decide: which of these is the better college? (especially in terms of academics, considering my major obviously, but also considering the overall college experience) Thank you!
Actually add loyola university Chicago to the possibilities
What are the price differences? Have you visited any of them, and are there any pros or cons that automatically stick out to you?
price isn’t a problem fortunately and I haven’t had the chance to visit any of them.
IMO it shouldn’t be a decision. University of Alabama has by far better academics ( as well as athletics) and is considered a university on the rise. U of Arizona has a reputation for being one of the most intense party schools ( which may or may not be bad depending on your preference)
Hold the phone on condemning UArizona now - it is a fine school. I find it hard to believe that there is not party atmosphere at Alabama. My dad got his graduate degree at Arizona, and the education was top-notch. Well, what do you want - hot and dry, or hot and humid? And are you a party student?
More than anything I’m interested in academics and greek life, so yeah i wanna have fun and party but i’d like to excel and give a good amount of focus on academics.
I’ve lived in so many places and experienced so many different kinds of weather around the world that at this point I’m not really looking for any particular weather, but i guess if i really had to pick i’d go with hot and dry
@Ragonkaz, I’m sorry, but what you said is just ignorant.
Unlike 'Bama, 'Zona actually has some departments that are top 10 in their field.
'Zona > 'Bama
Isn’t Bama’s business school in the top 10 nationally? I thought I read that somewhere.
- There are many b-school rankings.
- Most of them are crap and there to sell magazine ads.
- However, there definitely are tiers in percecptions of b-schools out in the real world.
- Neither 'Bama or 'Zona are near the top tier.
These aggregated rankings probably approximate the real world best:

Only difference is that Sloan should be up near the top, and I’d move some schools up and some schools down a little.
Arizona is really looked down as not being that great of a school. I agree on the fact that in regards to the name that it gets and the reputation it has, it really isn’t that great of a school. That is the only reason I recommend Alabama over Arizona.
@IJustWantInMan …" Arizona is really looked down as not being that great of a school…"
Looked down upon by you. An expert. A high school student.
not even close but nice try LOL @PurpleTitan
Why haven’t you visited?
@Ragonkaz, unfortunately for you, LOL’ing doesn’t win arguments outside of HS. Data and evidence do, and you haven’t produced any to support your argument.
Because I’m currently living in Europe
Ok! That’s a good reason!
Have you taken the “virtual tours” offered on the website?
yep
