Hi! I have the option to take one of two classes at the same time. I’m a pre-OT psychology major and one class is History and Systems of psychology, and the other is Neuroscience. History/Systems is an elective, which I need four of, but I’m really not interested in that particular elective. However, it has a good teacher and would be a better GPA booster than if I took Neuroscience, which is taught by a really tough teacher. I keep thinking I might have better options if I wait to take either, but I need to take one now. What do you guys think?
Unless you have another required elective that you would rather take, I would lean towards the History and Systems class. Neuroscience is not a common prereq for OT grad school programs. If it’s needed for a given program you are interested in you may be able to take it after being admitted and prior to starting.

Thanks for the answer! Forgot to mention that Neuroscience is required to get a Bachelor’s at my school.
Got it - if the only prof that teaches class may need to take or wait a semester to see if other options. Otherwise see if you can take elsewhere for transfer credit. Good luck.
I would see which class would work well now and also balance out the difficulty over time…so if you are taking Bio and Chem, then take history of Psych. If you are taking easier classes now, take Neuro and fit history of psych in another tough semester.
