UW is University of Wisconsin-Madison? BU is Boston University?

sorry, forget to clarify. but yes UW = University of Wisconsin - Madison & BU = Boston University

I would pick University of Waterloo (UW) over Bloomsburg University (BU)…

jk, UW-Madison for industrial engineering.

Madison, I think its a better college experience and it has a better reputation. Win-Win.

I would choose UW-Madison, personally.

would it be harder to find jobs outside the midwest, coming from madison?

UW-Madison is a big name…you won’t have problems finding jobs outside the midwest, you just might have to do some more legwork.

The UW engineering career services office has good placement info.
