I am a senior and I'm taking AP Bio, AP Chem, and AP Calculus AB. I am definitely take the AP test for math, and I have also decided on taking the AP English Language and Composition test. However, I am having a hard time deciding whether or not to take the AP Bio and AP Chem tests. I have all A's, so I'm not doing poorly in the classes.

I am planning on majoring in Biology. Is it worth taking the AP test for a subject I want to major in? I know that the curves for these tests can be generous, so even if I get a 4 or 5, does that really demonstrate that I know everything I need to know to be able to skip the intro course in college? We have to learn 22 chapters on our own in AP Biology if we plan to take the AP test, and that is a ridiculous amount of information! Would I benefit in just retaking the course in college, and would the college course cover all the info not covered in my AP class?

As for both chemistry and biology, it's not that I am worried about not passing the tests, it's more about mastering the material. I don't want to miss out on anything that I could possibly benefit from the college course (are their benefits?). I love science, and I just want to be as prepared as possible in terms of knowing the material. I keep going back and forth because I like the idea of having more freedom in my schedule, but again, I don't want to regret skipping a course. I should also mention that I am attending the Honors College at Wayne State University. I'm not completely certain on how much harder their Honors Courses are, but considering all of this, any insight would be much appreciated. I am stressing myself out over here!
