My housing contract for UF needs to be signed by March 17th; however, I can’t decide on UF or UM. I am currently looking at the University of Miami and the University of Florida, can anyone give me insight on how the University of Miami is as a biology major. Is it easy to get internships and research immediately? Please include anything you might think I need to know, I plan on going to medical school and I want to go the best school that gives me the opportunity to get into a great medical school.
UM has its own hospital, and the pre-med program is strong.
Hands down The U is a better choice!
Can you give your reasoning lovethesun? Im really at odds, I like UM; however, it is significantly more expensive than UF.
For your major its a very strong program. You should apply to both and tour both and see what feels right to you. My son is a Senior at the UM and went there pre-med. It is a wonderful place and very academic!
