Can't figure out how to calculate GPA!

Okay, I'm getting really fustrated. I'm definitly not getting in because I can't even follow instructions to calculate GPA. Here are my grades:

10th grade: 5 A's
11th grade: 5 A's

Honors/College/AP (full year classes except the college classes which were semester courses)
11th Grade
2 AP: A's
2 Honors: A's

12th grade:
1 AP: A (assuming...)
1 Honors: A (assuming...)
1 College: A (definitly)
2 College: dunno, just started (I hope A's!)

Without the extra points, I calculated a 4.0, but I can't figure out how to add the extra points.

Are these the most rigorous classes that you could have taken?

what are? The ones under the honors/college/ap heading are the classes that aren't regular.

OK HERE'S WHAT YOU DO:

GOOGLESEARCH: UCAPPLICANT05 UC GPA

And TA DA!!!!! You'll find out how to calculate your GPA.

first off, the UC-gpa is only grades 10 & 11. Do you know if your honors classes are UC-approved honors classes? (just becos your HS labels them honors, doesn't mean that UC has approved them for honors status, i.e., the bonus point. Assuming the classes are UC-approved honors:

10 A's times two (two semester grades) = 10 x 4 x 2 = 80 grade points. Add 8 points for the AP/honors courses = 88 grade points. Divide by 20 smesters' worth of classes = 4.4 UC gpa.

If your HS honors classes are not UC-approved, add 4 bonus points for AP classes, so total is 84. Divide by 20 = 4.2 UC-gpa.

Thanks so much! I didn't know I had to times the 40 by 2. I feel a lot better that it's not the 3.6 that I calculated earlier.

if i am in ib and taking all ib classes junior year, are all of the grades weighted, more than 8 semesters, or is it just 8
here is my classes
IB precal
IB chem
IB eng
Ib physics
IB theory of knowledge
IB europ. history
IB spanish4

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
sorry computers screwed

my gpa is 3.5

just 8 semesters of AP/IB work is weighted
