Can't figure out what to write about for UC Personal Statement

<p>I'm trying to answer this prompt:</p>

<p>Describe the world you come from — for example, your family, community or school — and tell us how your world has shaped your dreams and aspirations.</p>

<p>The first essay I wrote is about how my world has been revolved around sports. It talks about the different sports I have been playing since I was young and how I fought through the different problems I had in these sports. It also discusses that I learned to be hardworking, dedicated, motivated, and successful through my experiences in sports. It says that these qualities will apply to my dream of becoming a successful computer science engineer. </p>

<p>I'm not sure if this counts for this prompt. I don't know if it answers the question or not. Please ask questions if needed.</p>

<p>This looks like the personal essay for the UC app, which I am helping a cousin out with as well.</p>

<p>The key to this essay is help you standout from the many thousands that are also applying with you, which is why writing this prompt so difficult. If you are writing about sports, be sure to take it from an angle that makes you unique and not one of the many athletes that will also be applying.</p>
