I posted this on the SAT board, but you are all so knowledgeable that I wanted to ask here, too.

My daughter took the 3/13 SAT. She looked online for her score on 4/1, but it wasn't there. A message said to look again on 4/9. Then later the message changed to say to look on 4/16. I called College Board this morning to try to find out what was going on. The lady I talked to verified all of the usual information (name, address, etc) and put me on hold while she checked. When she came back, she said that she couldn't find a reason why the scores were not posted and would turn it over to someone to investigate. I'm supposed to hear back from them in 5-7 days. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on? Did they lose her test? Could it be because she had some accomodations for taking the test? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Having accommodations shouldn’t change when you hear back from them. Could it be they are hand scoring it? Could it that your daughter’s disability prevented her from making the bubbles dark enough, so they had to be more certain where she answered? It doesn’t sound as if they lost the test, but that they haven’t scored it satisfactorily. I would call again and ask them to confirm they have the test and they will send you results within one week.

I hadn’t thought about the possibility of hand scoring. It’s large print and she didn’t mention any problem with bubbling. She did ok bubbling on the ACT and on scantrons at school. I will call and make sure they actually do have the test. Our biggest fear is that they lost it. Do you know what would happen if that were the case?

Yes, accommodations can slow it down, particularly if it means it can’t be machine scored.
