Can't find school to take a self-studied AP at

So. I'm halfway done with self-studying AP Comp. Gov., and I'm trying to find a school that will let me take it.

Some problems (future self-studiers take note)

Rare exam: I've found just two schools (out of 30 or so) so far that has it. It has to be nearby because I'm taking US Gov at my school. I would have only about 30 minutes to get to the next testing location.

Early registration deadline: Last year when I self-studied, registration was mid-March. I guess every school is different.

And now I'm freaking out. It's a self-study, so it won't matter, but it was an interesting one. Now I pretty much wasted ~20 hours.

So, to get to my main points:

1) Do any HS offer AP Comp Gov that are within a 30 minute driving distance from Pasadena, CA?

2) How would one take a make-up AP test? When is it? Does every school offer it? I actually know nothing about this, so please enlighten me.

3) Is there anything I can do, besides taking it next year?

4) Is Psychology/Environmental Science a doable self-study still (I haven't started)? I want to get National AP Scholar, and I need one more (it was supposed to be filled by compgov.)

So... thanks.

Also: the Collegeboard AP testing information thing fails pretty hard. They just give schools near the zip code you provide. They don't tell you if those actually offer the exam you're searching for. A better method is to use a combination of Google maps and Greatschools.org to find suitable schools (First search high schools near __ on Google maps. Get a few names. Search for those on Greatschools. Go to test scores and stats > teachers and students > AP exams. See if they have the one you're looking for. Then go to school's webpage and get the counselor's email addresses. E-mail them. The counselors are pretty nice and helpful, most of the time. )

Anyway, thank you all.

Try:

Fairmont Preparatory Academy, Oxford Academy, Servite High School, Troy High School.

All in Anaheim.

Your school should allow you to take it alone in the library. Mine did.

Giancoli: Unfortuneatly, I have to take US Gov right before, at my home school, so the driving would take too long. =[.

BlueRedandGray: My school won’t allow it.
