can't flag inappropriate posts anymore?

In the old version of the forum there was a way to report inappropriate posts that had advertising. Like this post: <a href=“http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-search-selection/1609531-the-fastest-easiest-and-most-affordale-way-to-get-a-fully-accredited-degree.html#latest”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-search-selection/1609531-the-fastest-easiest-and-most-affordale-way-to-get-a-fully-accredited-degree.html#latest</a>

There is a button that says “flag” in the new forum, but when I tried to flag this post it said I did not have permission to flag it. Who has permission to flag posts like this?

I started a thread about this, too. My question was not answered and the thread that I posted about has not been addressed.

When you click on the flag, a pop-up opens where you write the reason you flagged the post. Do you have pop-ups blocked or maybe they “just” enabled this feature.

Repeating from other post: you don’t have “permission” to flag. I just tried to report a post and still same message.

Momofthreeboys…that pop up appears, but when you try to submit, you are told you don’t have permission to do so. Right now…there is NO WAY to report problem posts.

Ok so now that it works, we get a notification when something is done about the post that we flagged but can’t see it because of permissions. That’s just weird.

Looks like the spammers have found another bug in the site software. Look at the Spam post at <a href=“fwsd4sds1dsd - College Search & Selection - College Confidential Forums”>fwsd4sds1dsd - College Search & Selection - College Confidential Forums;

Apparently when you try and report it the report includes the post. This post violates some rule because they run all the words together. So it can’t be reported

Hahahaha oh that’s beautiful.
But it’s OK because the spam doesn’t cut into their profits. Just annoys the rest of us- and clearly that’s perfectly fine :wink:

This is still an issue.
