I’m an incoming freshman student and I have just finished scheduling my classes for my fall semester. The only problem with my schedule is that there aren’t any Spanish classes on it. I will be co-majoring in Spanish (I will participate in the Early Childhood/Childhood Dual Program) and all of the Spanish 003 classes have been filled and there is no wait list for any of the classes on that level. According to one of my advisers, I will not receive credit if I take a lower level Spanish class than I was placed in and Spanish 004 (one level above) may be too hard for me my first semester, Will I fall behind if I don’t take a class within my major/minor my first semester? Has anyone experienced a similar situation?
Hi @HayleyAlexa, hope you’re getting excited for your first year!
I recommend getting in touch with your adviser with that question. They’ll be able to help you map out your classes to clearly see how you’ll fit all your requirements.
