Can't get over a 30 on the English section

On practice tests I have gotten 28, 30, 29....ugh, I think that is the easiest section, but it is my worst. Any tips?

Hmmm out of all the sections, English seems to be the one that you can not really study for. In my opinion, it requires a knack for grammar that can be acquired mainly from reading very much throughout your childhood. I would say to keep taking more practice tests and try your best to learn more grammar rules.

Seriously? English, even more than Math, seems to be the easiest to study for, in my opinion.

Meh. While reading often will definitely help with your grammar, it’s not absolutely necessary. I didn’t read that much when I was young (not for fun, anyway), and I got a 34 on English.

Here is something that will help if you’re having trouble with transitional phrases like I was: [Transitional Words & Phrases](http://www.studygs.net/wrtstr6.htm)

Here is what the ACT says it tests on every single ACT English test:
[ACT Test Prep : English Test Description](<a href=“ACT Test Preparation | Test Prep Resources | ACT”>ACT Test Preparation | Test Prep Resources | ACT)

But yeah, like puggly said, take a bunch of practice tests, look at why you get the questions wrong that you do, and never make that mistake again.

thanks!!!
