Can't get rid of my acne

I try using Neutrogena and all the other products for several weeks and my face still has little red dots all over. What should I use?

clean and clear.

I had awful acne last year. Visit a dermatologist, try some things out. If they don’t work, take accutane. It is pretty nasty stuff in terms of what it can potentially do to your body (but you don’t really feel a difference), but after a few months, its just gone. I’m very pleased with the results.

If seeing a dermatologist is cost prohibitive, remember that acne is a disease, and like all diseases it is aggravated by certain stressors:

1) lack of sleep
2) anxiety
3) lack of water
4) lack of nutrition
5) irritants(sweat, a rough wash cloth, a finger nail, anything that can irritate skin)

And sometimes a mild facial cleanser(maybe from Clean and Clear or Neutrogena) is more effective than medicated products because it doesn’t irritate your skin.

“Proactiv!”

That’s what Jessica Simpson said.

I had mild-ish acne (some on forehead) that would never go away with anything I tried. I started using acne.org stuff though, and my face cleared up in less than a month!! It’s crazy how well it works, go on the site and read the reviews for the products and stuff, and don’t hesitate to give it a try! :)

Insurance will cover dermotologist visit and prescriptions because acne is considered a bacterial infection. The prescription Solydyn works wonders and receives safe reviews, as well as certain prescription creams. They all work like an antibiotic and usually clear up the problem in a short amount of time. If you do not have insurance at all, try the clean and clear, followed by acne , cream morning and evening, always use a clean wash cloth, hydrate with plenty of water, eat right, avoid alcohol, stress and get lots of sleep. If you are a female and wear foundation make up, this can be a trigger for acne - try the natural lines such as Bare Minerals (Ulta stores) -or the like. If you play sports, bring facial wipes with you to clean the sweat and dirt off your face after exercise.

All of the aforementioned disciplines and interventions will work wonders to clearing up acne.

Salicylic acid is the active ingredient in Proactiv. There are cheaper products out there that contain it. (Neutragena comes to mind.) Try that for a month. If your skin doesn’t improve then go see your regular doctor. He or she will probably Rx some topical antibiotics. If they don’t work then the next step will probably be a dermatologist.

After years of products that didn’t work and prescriptions that had too many severe side effects daughter tried SkinID ( found it online). Within the month her skin cleared. It has been amazing for her and she has lost the deep red blotches from past bad acne that I though would never go away.

Haha, I second Proactiv:)
It has worked well for me:)

yep use that proactiv 5hit, not from first hand exp, but from seeing convincing actors on tv :P

I had pretty bad acne in high school too. At first I used Proactiv and it worked decently or about 6 months then stopped working and I got really bad acne. I switched to Neutrogena for 6 months and it didn’t help so I tried Clean and Clear and that made it 500x times worse so I went to my doctor and he gave me prescription meds (1 face wash, 1 night cream, and pills). It works great, but makes my face dry so I compensate by using Clinique for Mens’ basic 3 step face wash program. My face has never been better (well maybe when I was a baby…)

Hey, if Jessica Simpson says it’s true, it must be true.

ProActiv is a must. Give it two days and you will be thrilled with the progress. We got ours at a kiosk in the mall. You need the pack that has the 3 or 4 items (cant remember) in it.

ask your doctor about precription Benza Clin. it’s just a cream that you apply to afflicted areas of your face and it works extremely well.

I just pop 'em and they go away

=D

Benzaclin.
