Cant get transcript for college

Hey, I am applying for early action mit and caltech, but realized that I am unable to obtain my transcipts from community college classes to mail to them, since they are only open on weekdays and I already submitted my application like 5 min ago. I've listed my grades in those classes in my additional informatino page, but doi really need those transcripts?

Order your transcript Monday. Problem solved.

what will happen if i don’t have that transcript sent? im sure my teacher’s rec will mention it, because i’ve taken around 5-6 so far, including multivariable calculus. I don’t really care about receiving college credit for it b/c i plan on retaknig htem ni college anyways, i just wnat to demonstrate going further with education.

Is there a reason you do not want to submit the transcript? It isn’t difficult to order community college transcripts.

It doesn’t matter if you “want” credit or not, you are required to submit all transcripts of all college work attempted - even if you withdrew from the classes or received a grade you do not like. That is a standard requirement when you apply to colleges. Some schools (such as the UCs) do not require transcripts until you have been accepted, at which time they verify all the information. If the schools you are applying to ask for transcripts with your application, then send the transcript Monday. Check the application websites.

In any case, once you choose where you will attend, you absolutely must submit all transcripts for all college work attempted. Absolutely. It is simple for your college to check to see if you have submitted all transcripts - there is a National Clearing House for the information and all the colleges you have attended are listed.

There are also rules about retaking college courses you have already taken. It would be a good idea to check those rules at the school you choose.

my transcript is fine, i have received all A’s. But i have no way of getting to the community college on monday… so if i dont’ get the transcript postmarked by monday, am i screwed? I really have no clue how I’m going to get it postmarked on monday

Most community colleges accept transcript orders online with a credit card. Check the website. In any case, it will not be postmarked Monday, even if you personally went down there on Monday - things simply do not move that fast. I do not think the postmark date on your community college transcript will be a problem - just get it ordered as soon as possible.

I don’t know about CalTech, but MIT doesn’t require you to provide transcripts from community colleges, since presumably it appears on your high school transcript and on your self-reported coursework form.

"But i have no way of getting to the community college on monday… so if i dont’ get the transcript postmarked by monday, am i screwed? "

This is where your premise is faulty. The application is what has to be in by the deadline. Other materials will now flow in – which is normal. Like the first response said, go Monday and get it taken care of. You’re fine.

If you can’t go in person, pick up the phone and call them. They will tell you what you need to do.
