Can't graduate because of math now what

since i am an idiot and can’t pass a basic math placement test im stuck in not graduating next semester because i have to take two more math classes and because my college is dumb as well i cannot take them both at the same time. so essentially i cannot graduate without going through a load of because just like everything else, i managed to screw this up as well. so what do i do?

see if you can take one or both over the summer somewhere.

Go directly to the Advising Center. Do not pass Go. Do not collect a diploma.

(Seriously - you can’t be the first person this has happened to. Talk to an expert.)

Is the placement test a one shot deal? Were you at all close to passing? Perhaps you could hire a tutor and retake the test for less time/money than taking two more classes and semesters.

You are definitely not the first person to put off a math requirement until senor year. Drives advising crazy, but they’ll still try to help you as much as they can.

I did horrific on the math placement exam in community college. I was placed in intermediate algebra, which is the second to last course needed to graduate. I really didn’t want to take it though, so I took it up with the head of math department. I asked to be placed into statistics (one of the math courses that met the graduation requirement) and he granted my request. He did this because I had a ton of programming courses. I also wound up with him as my professor. That was a crazy coincidence. I agree that you should take it up with an advisor and try to work something out. I was scared that my plan wasn’t going to work, but it helped me transfer to a university and eventually graduate

Don’t blame the college.
