Have no fear…
My trig college professor went to graduate school with a lady who had the same problem, she found out she was just special needs, so to speak, when it comes to her taking the final math exit test or whatever… He said she took it like 12 times, but in the end she did succeed. Definitely talk to someone at your school.
Anyway, glad to hear you made it, but also remember that you NEVER gave up, even when u failed repeatedly. I have to remind myself of this all the time.
Congratulations, man! I’m currently in a similar situation, although I’m only on my second try. Things aren’t looking good this semester, so I’m probably gonna have to take it again if I’m being realistic with myself. I’m glad everything worked out with you, it definitely has given me some inspiration.
You’ll get there @Making_Bacon, don’t worry. I just passed calc 2 with a B on the first try. On to Linear Algebra and Stats, then no more math for me. Passed Discrete a couple quarters ago first try as well.
I understand that calculus is needed for many advanced math and engineering courses. I am a bit surprised that it is needed for computer science (but then I was a math major, so this never came up).
Could you major in a field where calculus and advanced math is not needed, with a minor in computer science? Then take computer science classes for which calculus is not needed. Is this possible?
