I was originally enrolled in Math 1A lecture 1 but when I decided switch lectures - dropping the lecture that I was enrolled in at the time - and attempted to add Math1A Lecture 2, a problem arose and I couldn't add a discussion session. Despite the latest updates on the online schedule of classes - each discussion section could hold up to 10 students on the waitlist and there were only a few students on the waitlist for the discussion sections - the system did not even allow me to place myself on the waitlist. What the heck is wrong with telebears?!

Sometimes Telebears won’t let you add/waitlist in a discussion section if there is at least one discussion section in that class with open seats. I guess the system wants to fill all the open seats before the waitlist seats? You can try the “Waitlist” link directly (a bit further down the sidebar) instead of the “Add Class” link. If that doesn’t work then contact the professor or Student Affairs Officer of that department.

Same thing happened to me when I tried to switch my Math 1A lecture and I ended up having to put myself on the waitlist for the 1A course I was already enrolled in. Unfortunately I don’t think contacting the prof or the student affairs officer will amount to anything. I think I understand now why most people here despise Telebears.
