I submitted my common app a couple days ago and it still isn't checked off online that I did so, not allowing me to send in my supplements. Is this normal? How long does it take for the schools to get my common app so that I can send in the supps?

If you didn’t get a confirmation, you did not send your application in yet. Go and check through to see if you really completed every step. Then, try again. If the problem still prevails, try a different web browser.

My D has problem in the next step. The supplement was sent according to the dash board but received no confirmation. It also cannot retrieve the PDF that has been sent. CA support is useless as they keep saying it is due to the e-mail filter. Anyway, I think the third ticket may have worked as the school finally shows the supplement received today.

I get a payment confirmation but the green check is not showing for app being submitted and I can’t send in the confirmation. What are we doing wrong?

^ We did nothing wrong. CommonApp just has too many glitches.

How do I get to the point we can send sups and confirm the college got it?

Go through the submit steps again and make sure you complete the electronic signature page. If it shows as now payment then it means payment has not been credited to you account but keep on checking since you will not get any notification via email.

Same issue here. We submitted the Common App & got an e-mail receipt:

“This email confirms the successful payment of the application fee on 10/11/2013 in the amount of $80.00. Your confirmation number is xxxxx. Please allow up to two days for this transaction to be posted to your Common App Online account and for your payment status to be updated. If you have questions, please contact us using the ‘help’ link in the online application. If you have not done so, please complete and submit your application by the institutional deadline”.

I can’t submit the supplement as no magic green checkmark yet. How can it possibly take them “up to 2 days” to post to our account?!?!

I especially like the last sentence in their e-mail about submitting your app by the school deadline - seeing as they are the ones delaying it, LOL.
