Can't Take the HEAT

haha, the topic title is way too flashy for what i'm actually about to ask.....

is there any way to turn off the heat in hogan???

How did you manage to get around the constant heating?

I often got away from heat by staying cool. Life is like that, if you really take an objective look at it. Adjustment is the key. Easier speak than done actually, especially when one is withstanding the heat from wrong positioning in a game. I am watching sugar prices in the exchange market with extreme heat in my mind, wondering what next speculative funds are cajoling into.
Who else could turn off the heat from me?

You already have heat? I'm seriously worried about the upcoming winter, due to the inconsistency of my radiator's A/C in my EC room over the last month...

shraf - get in touch with Alonzo, the maintenance guy you'll see wandering around. If you can't find him, ask Papo the cleaning guy to get him for you.

Alonzo will show you how to twist the levers underneath the heating vents so as to cut off the heat.

Basically, it's turned on at the building level, so the most he can do for you is cut it to a fraction of what it used to be.

thanks denzera....

pichet, i have no idea what u r talking about but thanks anyway....

last yr in schap my heater was going wild...my room was like an oven even in the middle of winter! At least i was on the 15th floor though so the street noise wasnt so bad when i kept the window open but on the 3rd floor its quite hard to sleep in the early morning or at night when the fire trucks come to check out an alarm in carmen for the 10th time in one night.

Thanks. I am passing that info on to my daughter. She has complained that her room in Hogan is like an oven.

Ellen,

Does your daughter have one of those suites - 3A, 3D, etc - that have a balcony on it? Those things are badass, I wanted one so badly.

/sorry for the non sequitor

No, unfortunately she doesn't.

Oh well. Yeah, Alonzo's her only hope.

I heard those balconies are really flimsy not to mention very small....plus the layout of the C suite is greatly superior.

I dunno, I wished I had one last year. I mistakenly chose 5A (no C's were left). I guess the layout of C is superior, but you do get less street noise when you're not facing broadway.

i'd still rather have the penthouse. those girls up there are CRAZY this year. probably the 2nd most impressive dorm parties i've seen at columbia, after the halloween 2003 ruggles fest (500+ people winding all the way up and down through the building, resulting in the NYPD around 3AM...)

Anyway, yeah, Hogan rocks.

hogan does indeed rock....hopefully it'll rock even more once i get around to getting this heat problem fixed.
