Can't think of essay topic!

I'm writing my Pitt essay, but I cant think of a topic. I was planning to write my essay on my family's immigration from the Soviet Union to the United States, and how that has impacted my life, but I read that it was cliche.

My second thought was to write an essay on the power of flight and motion, as I'm planning to study Mechanical or Aerospace engineering. But for that essay, I can't think of a good way to start it and how to make it seem personal.

I'm totally bummed, and I would greatly appreciate it if you guys could help me out! Thanks!

I guess I would write about how it puts you in new place.

I mean when your flying is it an experience that nothing else can provide you.
Also you could talk about how flying connect you to other people.

You could try and connect the two topics…somehow. Perhaps open with something like “I’m no stranger to flying…”, then talk about your immigration, and finish with how living here/the move inspired you to want to study mechanical/aerospace engineering.

That’s all I got, lol.
